And in Local News

So there seems to be some new projects in the works, now since I am not an expert in this field, I am curious if this is normal or a sign of the local real estate market improving???

As you can see from Alicia’s email, there are three positions opened on the board and I am going to run. My main goals is to serve as a  HOA board person who will have the owners interests at heart.

Please Read!!!!!!

To all,

The annual meeting will be this March and there will be some openings on the board.

I have asked Alicia to post the time&date along with the board openings in the elevator. And inlcude a There also be a tell people the basics of being nominated for board positions.

I wanted to post this so everyone is aware and ready, the last thing we need is to get a new bunch of people with Schuster ties again!!!!!!

To summarize my thoughts, he who takes the direction of their own ship shall at least have a say in the destination.

Fast Internet for All?!?!

I was in the HOA meeting tonight and interesting there were very few owners at the meeting tonight. :(

Frank told the board that a resident mentioned that we should get building wide internet and even recommended a Seattle based company, condointernet.net.

Never heard of them however they seem to be expanding their customer base here in Belltown. So I kindly offered to check them out and report back since I have an IT background.

This could mean pretty fast internet service for a reasonable fee.

More to come on this one.

Nothing new on the lien, hence my new blog, so feel free to drop by my other blog and sound off!

PS. The annual meeting is coming up this March 24th, please show up and vote! Several of the HOA positions are going to be up.

new Blog

Due to some urging from others, I have generated a new WordPress blog for this topic. Take a look and send me your feedback.

I will be updating with the history and current status on the lien shortly.

Time for a new direction

Hey everyone, I fully understand that this blog has been dead, so I think its time to revive it in the name of going public and sharing our pain of the lien with the world!

Its time, in my humble opinion, to open up the doors and let the world see what goes on here at Mosler!

So please let me know through this blog or my email if you object to me opening up the blog. If I do not hear anything by this Tuesday, then the gates will be opened!!

Update Update Update

Just to let everyone know, I just got married and finished our delightful honeymoon!

If everyone is lucky, I may bore you guys with the pics later when they come in!!!!

Also, word on the street is we may be getting closer to getting the lien taken care of!

When that happens, we will have a party!

General Update

Spring is upon us and the sun is start to smile upon us! I been incredibly busy working on the wedding and work. Of course I been riding like crazy as well.

Here is a graphic from Wendy Leung’s site about the latest market conditions in our area:

market conditions

Thanks to Wendy for posting this on her blog. My biggest concern is the 33% median home price drop in Belltown. What these numbers do not tell me are these number reflective of all the apartment conversions on the market and new construction? I sure it is which in a way slants the numbers IMHO.

I would love to hear from everyone if they would like to see more from me on this blog. So please feel free to email me or to comment on anything that you would like to see.

Public or Private

So here is the question:

Considering the long road we have gone down, its now time to start asking ourselves again, should we go public or stay private.

I would love to go public for these reasons:
1. It would pressure the two parties involved with the lien to move quicker for PR reasons.
2. From what I have read, our building has not had that many issues compared to other new construction in the area, does it really help home values keeping this private?
3. People still find it confusing and difficult to sign up and use WordPress.

So everyone, lets sound off and see where that takes us!
